focuses on helping children improve their functioning in meaningful daily activities. Occupational therapists utilize evidence-based strategies to evaluate and provide skilled therapy to children with a variety of different needs and ability levels. Through activity and environmental analysis, occupational therapists assist children who have difficulty performing common daily activities or progressing through the stages of social, sensory motor, and/or cognitive development. By addressing underlying cognitive, physical, social, sensory, and motor abilities, occupational therapy empowers children to learn the everyday skills needed to participate more independently in everyday life.
